Government Invests in Alberta's Hemp Industry
In partnership with the federal government, Alberta has awarded two grants totaling $900,000 to help grow the province’s hemp industry.

Blue Sky Ventures Into CBD
Blue Sky has officially started CBD extraction from our brand new, state-of-the-art, first-of-its-kind, end-to-end CBD processing facility, designed specifically for industrial hemp. This licence gets us one step closer to realizing our vision of becoming world leaders in whole plant utilization: using the seed for food and fine ingredients, the stalk for a range of industrial applications and the flower and leaf for CBD extraction.

2020 - Blue Skies and Upsides

It's been a tumultuous year for the hemp and cannabis industry as a whole, but despite the turmoil, Blue Sky has punched through, hitting and exceeding many significant milestones that we can be very proud of. We’ve secured a significant capital raise under challenging marketing conditions, completed the build-out of our CBD extraction facility - and, with the receipt of our Health Canada Standard Processing License, our CBD operations are officially open for business.

Ben brings over 17 years of experience as both a food scientist & sales director within the food ingredients industry. His rare combination of technical expertise combined with deep relationships within the food & fine ingredients sector enables Ben to add real value to Blue Sky’s growing customer list.
