Strong Financial Results
After years of pioneering efforts, Blue Sky is very proud to be on solid financial footing. 2024 was a pivotal year for the company with positive EBITDA and Net Income - a rarity in the complex and rapidly evolving world of hemp and cannabis. Most importantly, we continued to position the company for growth by making additional strategic investments in our cannabis extraction and retail manufacturing operations.
Our cannabis extracts division has undergone a dramatic transformation. With our extraction, distillation, and isolation capabilities now doubled, we’re ready to meet the growing demand for premium extracts in 2025 and beyond.
To fuel this growth, we’re currently seeking partnerships with reputable growers to source 10,000 kg of biomass. This expanded capacity, combined with strong market potential, positions us to solidify our leadership in the extracts industry in the coming year.

Expanding Retail Cannabis Manufacturing Capabilities
Building on our strength in extracts, Blue Sky Hemp Ventures has also scaled up its retail manufacturing for cannabis production. We now offer enhanced private and white-label services, along with custom formulation options for everything from tinctures to topicals, capsules, and more. We’re already collaborating with some of Canada’s top cannabis brands, and now, with expanded facilities, we’re ready to meet the unprecedented demand. Our lean and agile production model has always been a cornerstone of our success—allowing us to ramp up swiftly when demand calls. And right now, it’s calling loudly, and we’re answering with full force.
Earlier in 2024, in collaboration with Virtex Grain Exchange and Thar Process, we secured a $1.6M co-investment to scale up a groundbreaking, solvent-free extraction technology. This innovation will produce high-protein ingredients from Canadian hemp and canola, driving both sustainability and cost-efficiency. With a focus on plant-based proteins, this development is set to offer significant value to farmers and unlock new markets for hemp products. As we look toward 2025, we’re excited to introduce these sustainable protein products, which hold immense potential for reshaping food innovation.

Whole-Plant Utilization: Unlocking Hemp's Full Potential
In late 2024 we announced another successful partnership with Plantae Technologies Inc. marking a new era for hemp production in Western Canada. By blending Blue Sky’s expertise in hemp food and industrial products with Plantae’s groundbreaking fibre applications, we’re unlocking a powerful value proposition for growers through whole-plant utilization.
Looking ahead to the 2025 growing season, we’ll be contracting up to 1,000 acres of dual-purpose hemp in North Central Alberta to support both food and fibre applications. This partnership showcases hemp’s transformative potential as a crop that delivers benefits for farmers, customers, and the environment alike.

One highlight is our growing role in South Korea’s booming beauty industry, where our refined hemp seed oil is reshaping skincare markets.
